Frank A. Fiorini 1934-2012

The world has lost another great man. On March 7th Frank A. Fiorini passed away. Up to the end of his life he served the homeless of Kansas City with a passion. I’d only known Frank for the last 3 years and I’m a richer man for it. He was a funny, driven, cantankerous man who worked tirelessly for those men and women living on the streets of Kansas City.

I consider myself fortunate to have known him. The day I picked up the phone to call Uplift about the crazy idea of documenting these homeless people for a photo exhibition I was meet with enthusiasm and appreciation. Frank worked with the homeless to the very end of his life and taught us all how to truly give of ourselves and ask nothing in return.

My moral compass is pointing more to the north today for having known Frank. God bless you Frank A. Fiorini. Now rest with the angels. We will carry on and through that remember you every day of our lives.

Thank you Frank and God’s speed.
