I listen to radio news reports and watch TV just like all of you. I do read a few blogs that pop up on my News Feedbut I’m careful to read stories only from credible (or supposedly credible) news sites. I try to stay away from people who are just bloggers with no particular credentials to back up their news reporting. Citizen journalism leaves much to be desired. I am a communications major and I guess my master’s degree does give me some room to write a blog but I feel I should stay within the boundaries of my area of expertise.
I watched the news yesterday and today and again I am in shock. I don’t recognize my country anymore. The ability to have civil discourse is dead.
Fear has been with us from the begging of our existence. Fear is a healthy response to places, people and situations that could lead to injury or an untimely death.
I love radio. TV not so much. It takes a lot to grab my interest in TV shows. Almost all of them are bad. I know a lot of people won’t agree. When I hear people talk about TV shows I zone out because I’ve either never heard of it or watched an episode and hated it.
