I listen to radio news reports and watch TV just like all of you. I do read a few blogs that pop up on my News Feedbut I’m careful to read stories only from credible (or supposedly credible) news sites. I try to stay away from people who are just bloggers with no particular credentials to back up their news reporting. Citizen journalism leaves much to be desired. I am a communications major and I guess my master’s degree does give me some room to write a blog but I feel I should stay within the boundaries of my area of expertise.
Last week I spoke to the challenges that I was facing. Be assured I didn’t list all of them and also be assured that many of the challenges I face seem trivial in the light of what I observe others dealing with. Truth is I’m a blessed man. I spent the last eleven weeks attending the Citizen’s Police Academy hosted by the Kansas City Missouri Police Department.
Really can they write this book? I mean in six weeks Facebook will have changed fifty times, a new social network will be all the rage and still it boils down to, “Am I making any money?” Hey I create websites and see things change in a week.
I’m just saying, these one size fits all shops let you do it yourself or they do it for you in 7 days. Watch your URL if you don’t like your provider. They may own it now. I mean they could always sell it back to you, right?
