Impeachment vs. Sanity

Not long ago I took a trip to Alabama. Saw some interesting stuff and learned a bit. I went in October to see my old friend Bruce. We started taking pictures and doing the darkroom thing at about the same time in High School. He’s the only person I’ve ever gone out with to wander around looking for pictures to take. So, when I went to see him last October we went wandering for photos. Visited some ghost towns (like Burnt Corm) and haunted graveyards. I mean it was October.

Think Different

I listen to radio news reports and watch TV just like all of you. I do read a few blogs that pop up on my News Feedbut I’m careful to read stories only from credible (or supposedly credible) news sites. I try to stay away from people who are just bloggers with no particular credentials to back up their news reporting. Citizen journalism leaves much to be desired. I am a communications major and I guess my master’s degree does give me some room to write a blog but I feel I should stay within the boundaries of my area of expertise.

Work in Progress

Back from Block Island with about a million digital negatives that I shot over the nine-day trip. Right out of the gate I find myself in a conundrum. I found this house that was once a church. I mopeded over to photograph it. At the time it seemed to present a fairly straight forward photograph. Planning on it being a Black & White and all that but then I get back here to Kansas City and when I look at the negative I shot it explodes with all kinds of possible stories.
